About Fall From Grace

Fall from Grace strives to offer wines of provenance,

scoured locally from small artisan winemakers or maybe locals who have travelled further afield to achieve their vinous goals. There is also an evolving selection of wines from around the globe, taking in the length and breadth of Italy, Cru Beaujolais from France, Cabernet Franc & Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley and most definitely my passion obsession of grower Champagne just to name a few. Of course, there are beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcohol offerings to suit most palates – always ask the question, we may just be able to find that right something.

The garden is inviting even on an overcast day, where a spot in the sun can usually be found or when the weather is far more challenging the warmth of the open fire inside is perfect to hide away and enjoy a lazy glass or two.

Supporting local enterprise and produce...

we love working with our regular pop-up food vendors. SPC Pizza has been a feature at Fall from Grace for nearly two years now with a growing fanbase of pizza fanatics that come out even in the worst weather that mother nature can throw at us is testament to just how delicious Jimmy Toone’s sourdough pizzas really are! Uprising Baker joins us not just for special events with decadent desserts, breads & savoury pastries but as a regular feature under ‘Flava Drop’ creating the divine dumpling bar catering for traditional, vegetarian and gluten free options. My personal favourite is Chicken Dumplings in Tom Yum Broth . . . . . yummy. In-between pop ups there is a ‘Small Plates’ snacks menu providing dips, charcuterie & cheese boards.

Local musicians create a warm & relaxing vibe

with Chris Parkinson aka Mr Yearlings, playing instrumental guitar most Friday evenings – quite often an impromptu jam session occurs when he is joined by friends and students. It really is special! Luke Beare Musician & Laura Hill amongst others are also on rotation. I hope you can visit Fall from Grace Aldinga sometime soon. Review by: Nick Stock. "Go For: musicians and guest food vendors are a regular fixture... The Wine Magazine - November 2022"

This regional Australian enoteca-style wine spot built a loyal local following over many years at the hand of founder Gill Gordon Smith. The baton and keys are now passed to new proprietor Margot Muir who is a well-known to SA wine folk thanks to an esteemed career in wine. Fall From Grace is a gem. It is intensely personal and unwaveringly personable, the range of wines in this bottle bar is always peppered with education, discovery and interest. Bottles here are bought on recommendation, more back story than back label, and this intimate and exquisite venue is part of a groundswell of fresh energy in the McLaren Vale region’s wine and hospitality offering.
